Gain new perspectives with experienced and compassionate tripsitters and psychedelic guides and facilitators.

Leap into flight and discover your life from a vastly new perspective with experienced and compassionate tripsitters. There is so much to discover, feel, embody, release, and integrate. We support your intention and your process.  All parts of you are welcome here, your joy and your sadness, your pleasure and your pain.

Psychedelics can be quite helpful to us on our individual journeys, whether working with our traumas/issues or consciousness exploration. Essentially, psychedelics open a door that often has been long closed—to a stairway—that clears some space for more awareness as well as providing directions for continued growth as you move forward on your healing journey.  A big part of the journey is coming to terms with the underlying feelings and unconscious beliefs we hold about ourselves, most often derived from early attachment wounds, developmental trauma, abuse, and related life experiences that are at the root of our personality, triggers, and drives.

“Soul work is not a high road. It’s a deep fall into an unforgiving darkness that won’t let you go until you find the song that sings you home.” —McCall Erickson

Psychedelics can help us get in touch with these deep issues and begin the process of “feeling is healing” our way through them.  At Akasa Journeys, we bring compassion,  support, and gentle care to these tender parts of ourselves that need to be seen, held, and felt in non-judgemental, accepting, and safe ways that are not overwhelming. We support your process of finding your song home.

Consider that the overly hyped “mystical experience” is a resource, a powerful resource to be sure, but not necessarily a “cure” or resolution of our traumas/issues. We still have to do the work of facing our issues that psychedelics show us so reliably.

What We Do

Here at Akasa Journeys, since 2018, we offer a range of therapeutic modalities, with psychedelic sessions as one tool among many. When we get down to the essence of this work, we know that healing is the star, not the medicine. Yes, the medicine can be a helpful accelerator at times and may help open the door to transformation, but in reality, it’s the process, not the medicine, that supports healing. We still have to do the follow-up, the integration, to fully embody our experiences.

Rooted in trauma-informed care and somatic-based practices, we create a safe, compassionate space which is the fertile ground for recognizing that we are already where we need to be. Our approach emphasizes intention, acceptance, and presence, meeting each person where they are, moving at the speed of trust, at your own pace. As Tim Frek has said, “A heart assured of safety opens instantly.” We create that safety.

Rosen Method Bodywork
Rosen Method Bodywork helps integrate unconscious material into conscious experience through gentle, non-manipulative touch and dialogue. By contacting chronic muscular tension—often formed as a protective response to past experiences—practitioners create a safe space for awareness, release, and choice.

Rather than focusing on past trauma itself, Rosen practitioners engage with the physical barriers held in the body. This mindful contact invites relaxation, sometimes bringing emotional insight, sometimes simply allowing tension to dissolve. Either way, it fosters deeper self-awareness and the potential for lasting change.

Grounded in the deep connection between body and mind, Rosen Method accesses both through physical contact on a massage table. It works synergistically with therapeutic and psychedelic practices, enhancing emotional release and self-discovery.

Compassionate Inquiry
Compassionate Inquiry (CI), developed by Dr. Gabor Maté, is an elegant somatic-based therapeutic approach that helps uncover and address the emotional and psychological roots of developmental trauma that can affect our daily lives.. By fostering self-awareness, self-compassion, and mindfulness, CI supports healing and personal growth.

Originating from Gabor’s work with psychedelic plant medicines and addiction treatment, CI also serves as a powerful tool in psychedelic-assisted therapy.

“LSD is a catalyst or amplifier of mental processes. If properly used it could become something like the microscope or telescope of psychiatry.” ― Stanislav Grof, M.D., Ph.D., Psychedelic Researcher and Therapist “Start where you are. Akasa means spirit in Hindu Tantrism.   Akasa also means the sky, the space, and/or the ether.   It represents the fifth element, from which the other four (earth, air, fire, and water) come from.  We see it as the big picture, a bird’s eye view of your life and all life, to better guide you in healing, growth, and deeper connection.

We are trip sitters, psychedelic guides and safe space holders.
